Send Valentine Flowers To Tell Someone You Care
By Howard Brule
This is a story that I heard recently about how important sending Valentine’s Day flowers can be:
“Not too long ago, I would have made the argument that ladies do not send flowers to gentlemen. However I opted to send flowers to my husband for a whimsical Valentine’s Day celebration. Prior to this my husband had never been the recipient of flowers from a woman. To celebrate Valentine’s Day my husband’s plan was to go out for an exclusive dinner. My plan was to show my husband how much I appreciate sharing life’s ups and downs with him by doing something memorable and romantic.
There was a major snowstorm that left a foot of snow at our house that night. He was extremely sick with a stomach virus. So much for his romantic dinner plans. I had planned a romantic treasure hunt that would end in a passionate kiss. So much for that plan. The only part of Valentine’s Day that we were able to celebrate that night was the flowers that I had sent him.”
When you decide to send flowers to someone, you may have several reasons for doing so. Some people might send flowers for friendship, caring, or sympathy. Others might be celebrating an important event like a job promotion. You might be acknowledging an accomplishment like an excellent music recital.
Celebrations. like Mother’s Day and birthdays, are a good reason to send spring flowers. Another option is to send a favorite type of posy. The recipient’s preferred hue or color theme is an excellent way to decide what special flowers for spring would be most appropriate. There are many spring flowers to choose from, including daisies, crocuses, cherry blossoms, and tulips.
There are now any number of possibilities for individuals to send flowers. The simplest is to look on the web or phone a florist and pay with plastic. Alternatively, if you are in the area, consider going into a shop and finding just the right choice. Delivery can be done by you or one of their handy associates. No matter how the transaction is accomplished, remember to send flowers.
And yes, some people still send flowers for more sentimental reasons. In Victorian times, each bloom had a meaning, and some flowers had several meanings. For example, azaleas indicated abundance, while irises were the symbols of inspiration. Not all flowers had positive meanings, however. For instance, offering lavender indicated distrust, while a striped carnation meant rejection.
It is recommended that you ask some questions or do some research before sending flowers. This is especially true if you are sending them to a loved one or for a special occasion. Flowers can speak meanings to people that you might not know about.
